Restaurant furniture: the inspiring renovation of Le Lanaud restaurant by Kokon Architecture

As part of the renovation of the restaurant Le Lanaud (Boisseuil, near Limoges), Restootab is proud to have been chosen as the supplier and manufacturer for the custom tables and tops. This project, brilliantly orchestrated by the Kokon Architecture agency, allowed us to put 30 years of industrial expertise at the service of a place steeped in history.

  • Interior room of the restaurant Le Lanaud

  • Originally designed by the renowned architect Jean Nouvel, this iconic establishment needed a refresh capable of respecting its DNA while infusing it with functional modernity. Under the creative impulse of Kokon Architecture, we brought our restaurant furniture solutions to accompany the transformation of this space into an exceptional living destination.

An Architectural Challenge: Bridging Heritage and Modernity

The Pôle de Lanaud is far more than a restaurant; it is the temple of the Limousin cattle breed. The challenge for Kokon Architecture was colossal: restoring a unique identity to this establishment without denaturing Jean Nouvel's original structure.

The project was built around a strong visual narrative linking Limousin culture, the surrounding nature, and gastronomic excellence. From the change of flooring to the fitting of a magnificent bar counter, every detail was designed to foster sharing and conviviality.

At the heart of this transformation, our restaurant tables play a pivotal role. To meet the aesthetic demands of the project, the choice fell on the Terrazzo Cassata decor.

  • Why the Terrazzo Cassata Decor for Restaurant Furniture?

Terrazzo, with its subtle color nuances and mineral appearance, brings a timeless elegance. This laminate surface stands out for its luminous white base, scattered with contemporary colored flecks. These colorful chips allow for aesthetic echoes with the other decorative elements: the bluish tones mirror the bar's bleu de four, while the brown touches harmonize perfectly with the woody tones.

Terrazzo thus blends seamlessly with all interior styles, from industrial settings to clean-lined design. Moreover, this "chameleon" pattern is a strategic asset for hospitality professionals: its appearance, reminiscent of an artist's canvas scattered with pigments, makes it an inspiring creative surface. The resonance between the table decor and the visual boldness of the dishes creates total immersion, particularly appreciated in establishments where gastronomy aspires to be a complete artistic experience. The furniture no longer simply supports the plate — it becomes its natural frame, underlining the visual identity of the establishment with a rare distinction.

  • A Tribute to Local Craftsmanship: Porcelain and Bleu de Four

The interior design is not merely beautiful; it tells a story. The bar is adorned with a deep Bleu de Four, a direct tribute to Limoges porcelain. This iconic blue creates a magnetic focal point, supported by a charred wood wall where the porcelain is displayed as a work of art. Our Terrazzo tables complete this picture, bringing a touch of modernity that does not overshadow the local heritage, but rather elevates it.

Aesthetic Continuity from the Dining Room to the Terrace

One of the great achievements of this renovation lies in the fluid transition between the interior and the exterior. The terrace of Le Lanaud restaurant benefits from a unique and breathtaking view over the Limousin region.

It was unthinkable to treat the outdoor furniture as a secondary element. That is why:

    • The Terrazzo design extends outdoors: The terrace tables adopt the same aesthetic codes as the dining room for a perfect visual continuity.
    • A nod to the cattle breed: The red tones of the outdoor relaxation areas subtly echo the color of Limousin beef, the house specialty.
    • Territorial anchoring: Magnificent sculptures honoring the local cattle breed welcome visitors, grounding the experience in history and terroir.

El anclaje territorial: Magníficas esculturas en honor a la raza bovina local reciben a los visitantes, enraizando la experiencia en la historia y el terruño.

  • Why Choose Custom-Made Restaurant Furniture?

The Lanaud project perfectly illustrates the value of calling upon a CHR furniture specialist like RestooTab. Thanks to our custom-made DNA, our products break free from standards to offer each establishment a signature that is uniquely its own.

Under the impulse of Kokon Architecture, the strategic alternation of round and square tabletops breathes visual dynamism into the space, breaking the monotony of large volumes while offering the modularity essential for adapting the room layout to daily reservations. This precision work respects the masterful lines drawn by Jean Nouvel, modernizing them without denaturing them. Each piece was designed to optimize space, maximizing the number of covers while preserving guest comfort and the fluid circulation of staff. Ultimately, this furniture does not merely occupy space: it reinforces the brand identity of the establishment, turning each table into a silent yet powerful communication support for its image.

  • This Renovation Was an Experience as Beautiful as It Was Delicious
